It’s officially engagement season here on YouTube.
Roughly one week after Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg proposed to fellow creator Marzia Bisgonin, the prankster-vlogger Roman Atwood asked longtime girlfriend Brittney Smith to be his wife. Atwood, who stopped daily vlogging last month to experiment with other formats, shared the news with fans in a series of tweets yesterday evening. (Though perhaps the Emmy nominee and YouTube Red star will make his grand return to the platform with a wedding video).
Atwood first posted a picture of the ring and Smith fast asleep with a caption that read, “When she wakes up, I am asking her to marry me.” The following tweet, deployed three hours later, showed the happy couple kissing in celebration. Atwood and Smith have three children — and chronicled the birth of their youngest daughter, Cora, in an emotional video last July.
