YouTuber-Led Record Label Heard Well Announces New Podcast

In its third year, Heard Well is expanding its business. The record label, co-founded by YouTube star Connor Franta, talent agent Andrew Graham, and music exec Jeremy Wineberg has announced a new podcast in partnership with audio platform Castbox.

Heard Well is best known for releasing compilation albums curated by social media influencers, and the label’s new podcast, Heard Well Now, is based around that format. Each episode will pair a creator with an artist for a conversation about today’s trends and a performance. Featured creators include Tyler Oakley and Lohanthony, both of whom have curated Heard Well compilations in the past.

The podcast will also offer behind-the-scenes content such as artist interviews and previews of new material. Episodes will be recorded at major events on the music industry calendar, including the upcoming Coachella festival in California.

“Podcasting is a cultural phenomenon and a perfect medium to spread our passion for music. The format allows us to take fans on a journey into the minds of their favorite influencers while celebrating up-and-coming artists,” said Wineberg in a press release. “By working with an innovative podcasting partner like Castbox, we can focus on creating unique, community-driven content for a much wider audience.”

The podcast joins Castbox’s growing lineup of original content. The platform raised a $16 million funding round last year, at which point it said it wants to become “the YouTube of audio.”

At launch, more than 80 episodes of Heard Well Now are available. You can find them on Castbox, as well as several other major podcasting platforms, including iTunes.
