Greyhound To Bus YouTuber Lauren Toyota Around The US For Her ‘Hot For Food’ Book Tour

When YouTube creators write books based on their channels, they tend to support those texts with multi-city book tours. Such event series require significant logistical planning, and a bus company is leveraging that need to get in a bit of promotion.

Greyhound has partnered with Kin Community for a deal that will provide creator Lauren Toyota of the hot for food channel with the wheels she needs to span the nation on her cross-continent book tour.

hot for food, which has received more than 26 million YouTube views to date, is one of the most prominent vegan cooking channels on the internet. In her first book, titled Hot for Food Vegan Comfort Classics: 101 Recipes to Feed Your Face, Toyota shares some of her greatest hits with aspiring chefs. The book is available from a variety of brick-and-mortar and digital retailers.

With her cookbook available on shelves, Toyota is heading out on the road to promote it. Her custom Greyhound bus will tote her to nine events in the US and Canada, taking her from an appearance in Brooklyn on March 8 to one in San Diego on March 19. At each stop, some of Toyota’s fans will have the chance to ride alongside her in the bus.

“This campaign with Greyhound is so incredible and I’m ecstatic that they’ve given me the means to travel and meet all the hot for foodies who have supported hot for food since the beginning,” Toyota said in a press release. “It’s great to be promoting a green form of transport while showcasing vegan eating in a huge mainstream way to the USA. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner for our first US tour!”

After her partnership with Greyhound concludes, Toyota will head to Canada for a pair of events in Vancouver. Information about her tour can be found here.
