In order to scope out the next generation of star dancers, William Adams is going to the streets of Miami. Adams, known by the moniker WilldaBeast, is the star of One Shot, a new documentary special that is now available through YouTube Red.
Adams is known for his work as a choreographer. His videos have brought more than two million subscribers to his YouTube channel. His most popular clip, set to the tune of Beyonce’s ‘Upgrade U,’ has received more than 110 million views to date.
In One Shot, Adams will search for new collaborators and will establish sets that cater to the strengths of specific dancers. A press release contrasts One Shot
to similar reality shows like So You Think You Can Dance by highlighting the documentary’s “gritty, verité format.”One Shot, announced earlier in February, is produced by digital studio Portal A. Though the Bay Area and Los Angeles-based studio is known for its work with brands and YouTube, including its annual production of the video site’s Rewind video, this is its first YouTube Red project.
