Kylie Jenner Chooses YouTube For Baby Reveal, Nabs 28 Million Views In 24 Hours

On Super Bowl Sunday, reality TV star (and burgeoning YouTuber) Kylie Jenner officially confirmed what many fans already knew: that she was pregnant — and had, in fact, given birth to a baby girl on Feb. 1. Though news of Jenner’s pregnancy was first reported by TMZ all the way back in September, the 20-year-old has remained uncharacteristically tight-lipped ever since, explaining on Instagram yesterday that, “I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion, so I chose to do it this way for my little life.”

Though she’s widely regarded as the queen of Snapchat and Instagram (102 million followers), 20-year-old Jenner chose YouTube to premiere an 11-minute film dubbed To Our Daughter that provides an intimate glimpse into the last nine months of her life. Directed by Tyler Scott and featuring music by Jacob Wilkinson-Smith, the film sees Jenner’s friends and family waxing poetic about her pregnancy, as well as lovey-dovey moments with rapper Travis Scott

, who is the baby’s father.

Clearly, fans were avid for a peak behind the curtain. The video has clocked a staggering 28.5 million views over the past 24 hours, and is still standing high atop YouTube’s trending feed. (While the highly calculated reveal primarily took place on YouTube, Jenner posted a preview video of To Our Daughter on Instagram — which has a maximum video length of sixty seconds. That clip has clocked a staggering 48 million views).
