Mitú Makes “Structural Changes” With A Round Of Fewer Than Ten Layoffs

Mitú is cutting back its staff. The digital media company, which targets a bilingual audience in the United States and across America, has opted for a round of layoffs as part of what its CEO calls “structural changes.”

The exact number of layoffs hasn’t been made public, though a Mitú representative told Tubefilter that fewer than ten people lost their jobs as a result of the cuts.

The layoffs arrived a little more than two months after Mitú made a major change at the top of its organization. In September, after the resignation of CEO Roy Burstein, former Nickelodeon president Herb Scannell replaced him. “Today we made some structural changes to align ourselves for future growth to serve our audience, which unfortunately resulted in some staff reductions,” Scannell said with regard to Mitú’s round of layoffs. “We are very grateful for the contributions of those who will be leaving and we’ll do all we can to support them during this transition.”
