YouTube Red Pacts With The Dudesons For Mountain-Climbing Series ‘Ultimate Expedition’

YouTube Red has added another series to its rapidly expanding roster: Ultimate Expedition, an unscripted adventure competition show that will bow on the service next year.

Produced by Finnish production company Rabbit Films — which was founded by YouTube stunt luminaries The Dudesons — the show will follow eight as-yet-unnamed YouTubers with no previous mountain-climbing experience as they attempt to summit Mount Tocllaraju in Peru. Ultimate Expedition will be hosted by The Dudesons’ ringleader and Rabbit Films USA president Jukka Hildén. In addition to the climb, the YouTube creators will each attempt to overcome a personal challenge — including chasing dreams and spiritual awakenings — over the course of 10 episodes.

“Viewers love to see their favorite YouTube stars in unique settings,” said Susanne Daniels, YouTube’s global head of original content. “The audience will get to experience the climb by not only watching the series, but through the personal journeys each star will share on their YouTube channels — keeping fans connected each grueling step of the way.”

The Dudesons count 4.7 million subscribers across their two YouTube channels, and seek to inspire viewers with bizarre and boundary-pushing stunts that illuminate the power of conquering fears.
