Liza Koshy, Meghan Rienks Battle Zombies In Second Season Of ‘Freakish’ (Trailer)

Freakish, the AwesomenessTV-produced horror series starring digital luminaries Liza Koshy, Melvin Gregg, Meghan Rienks, Niki DeMartino, and Amanda Steele, returns to Hulu for its second season next Wednesday

Season two will pick up days after season one left off, following the survivors of a chemical plant explosion that turns exposed victims into zombie-like creatures that the show refers to as ‘Freaks’. Additional survivors trapped in Kent High School — played by DeMartino and Steele — will be introduced this season, series creator Beth Szymkowski tells Entertainment Weekly, bringing new romantic entanglements and new layers of tension to the fore.

“I think the interesting thing about the show is we take high school skill sets, high school characters, the tropes — the cheerleader, the brainy kid, the bully — and see what they’re like when they’re not in their element,” Szymkowski told the outlet.
