New Demi Lovato Documentary Due Out On YouTube October 17

Demi Lovato is putting herself out in the open with a documentary that will soon be available for YouTube viewers. Simply Complicated, which follows Lovato as she continues to carry on her career as a singer, will premiere on the world’s top video site on October 17.

Simply Complicated is one of five projects YouTube revealed when it announced during its yearly Brandcast that it would roll out a slate of ad-supported projects. Lovato’s documentary will be one of the first of those originals to arrive; when it does, it will join Ellen Show Me Morean Ellen Degeneres vehicle that landed on YouTube on September 19.

Unlike with the shows and movies that have been distributed through YouTube Red, Simply Complicated will not require a $9.99-per-month subscription to watch. Instead, it will be uploaded on the free, ad-supported part of YouTube, through Lovato’s channel. The singer has amassed more than 1.2 million subscribers on her personal hub, and in a brief video, she informed those followers when they will be able to check out her new film:

Simply Complicated arrives during a busy time for Lovato, who has spread herself across multiple projects in the digital media world. She recently appeared in an installment of Vevo Live, a streaming series hosted by its titular platform. With her new documentary, she’ll have another chance to share a piece of her personal story with her fans.
