Kim Kardashian Posts First YouTube Collab With Beauty Vlogger Jaclyn Hill

Everybody wants to be a YouTube star these days — including, it turns out, Kim Kardashian West.

Not only has Kardashian increased her YouTube output in the wake of the launch of her very own beauty brand, KKW Beauty, but she has also sought to tap the promotional power of some of the platform’s most popular beauty creators, including 26-year-old Jaclyn Hill (4.3 million subscribers). Kardashian filmed a ‘Get Ready With Me’ makeup tutorial alongside Hill on her channel yesterday (below), and the video already counts 1.8 million views in roughly 19 hours, sitting at the top of YouTube’s ‘Trending’ feed.

The collaboration seemed somewhat written in the stars, given that Hill’s first-ever YouTube video

was a Kim Kardashian-inspired makeup tutorial, and Kardashian says that the first YouTube beauty video she ever watched featured Hill reviewing a KKW Beauty lipstick launch last May.

In the video, Kardashian also expresses her fascination with the YouTube universe. “It’s so fun getting to know this whole world,” she told Hill. “I’m so fascinated with how you made this whole career for yourself just off of YouTube, and everyone connecting with you — and they’re connecting with you for a reason.”
