Warner Bros’ Stage 13 Digital Studio To Launch Its First Series On June 22

Warner Bros‘ new digital studio Stage 13 is getting ready to unleash a full slate of scripted and unscripted programs designed for consumption on social and mobile platforms, and the first of those shows is just a few days away from its premiere. Snatchers, a horror comedy about a girl who gives birth to an alien shortly after losing her virginity, will arrive on June 22 on Go90.

Snatchers stars Mary Nepi as Sara, a teenager who finds herself in a pressing situation when, one day after her first sexual experience, she wakes up to find herself nine months pregnant with an alien baby. As you may have guessed from that pulpy premise, Snatchers got its start as a midnight screener on the film festival circuit. After trips to Sundance and SXSW, it’s now coming to Go90, where its eight episodes will be available.

Stage 13 will use Snatchers to introduce audiences to its brand of original content. According to a press release, the studio will cook up “dynamic, unapologetic series for a multi-dimensional audience.” “Stage 13 is about curating unique talent and compelling stories for the digital space and we are excited to have our first launch – Snatchers– be on go90,” added Stage 13 SVP and GM Diana Mogollón in the press release. “The creative team behind Snatchers has created a brilliant horror comedy series that had Sundance audiences captivated, shocking them and making them laugh out loud. We’re excited to bring this witty, unexpected new horror/comedy story to a wider audience.”
