The awards show and celebration for BEST VINES EVER took place last Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the swanky Neuehouse in Hollywood, CA. We celebrated creators and pioneers of short form comedy and short form video on Vine, with over a dozen fan-voted awards doled out per the results of the weeks-long contest on Snakt.
Fans came out to smash that vote button for their favorite Vines and Viners all Spring, and we finally got to celebrate the burgeoning and established stars with a massive party. It was everything. BEST VINES EVER was hosted by Vine superstars Alli Fitz (@AlliCattt) and Chad Perez (@ChadJaxonPerez). And they crushed it. We’re all looking forward to seeing more hosting gigs from these two in the not-so-distant future! As attendees arrived at the event, they were guided down the red carpet where they were photographed and interviewed by Alec Joseph from What’s Trending and Andy Lalwani. The show then kicked off with an opener by Snakt co-founder Tristan Snell, highlighting the massive success of Vine and the talent of the Vine community, plus an expressions of heartfelt appreciation for the creator community that began a revolution in mobile video creation and collaboration.
The winners were announced and presented with trophies, each giving six second acceptance speeches in a tribute to Vine’s signature six-second-video-length limit. After the party, attendees mingled at the venue before heading over to an afterparty at Argyle.
