‘T@gged’ Season 2 To Bow May 9, As Go90 Inks Licensing Deal For ‘Veronica Mars’, ‘Fringe’, More

Season two of t@gged, the AwesomenessTV-produced thriller that became one of the biggest breakout hits for Verizon’s fledgling go90 mobile video platform, is set to premiere on May 9. The first three episodes of the second season, which stars influencers Lia Marie Johnson, JC Caylen, Claudia Sulewski, and others, will bow at once, with subsequent episodes airing every Tuesday.

T@gged is the “fastest-growing original series” on go90, according to AwesomenessTV, and follows three teenage girls who receive violent videos from a stalker named Monkeyman. In season two, the girls will be targeted by a stalking collective known as The Zoo. T@gged is created, directed, and executive produced by filmmaker Hannah Macpherson, who also helmed the influencer-led horror feature Sickhouse.

“Hannah brought to life a thrilling story in the first season of t@gged with an incredible cast that audiences are demanding more of,” said go90 chief content officer Ivana Kirkbride.

In addition to the return of t@gged, it was announced today that go90 has struck an exclusive streaming deal with Warner Bros. Entertainment to distribute seven sci-fi series, including Veronica Mars, Fringe, Almost Human, Babylon 5, Believe, Stalker, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. All seven series will be available for free on go90 in coming months, according to The Hollywood Reporter, representing the service’s first time licensing traditional TV shows.

The added programming arrives as Verizon announced an overhaul of sorts for go90 last week powered by the team at Vessel, which Verizon acquired last October. Go90 3.0, as Verizon referred to the update, features new content verticals — including one called ‘Saga’, where the aforementioned sci-fi series will live — as well as better recommendations and new ad formats.
