The First Book From Vice’s Munchies Channel Will Feature Drunk Food From All-Star Chefs

Since launching in 2014, Munchies has grown to become one of Vice Media’s most popular digital destinations. Now, the food-focused hub, which counts more than 1.6 million subscribers, will attach its brand to its very own cookbook, titled Munchies: Late-Night Meals From The World’s Best Chefs.

The cookbook is the first of three that will be published out of a deal between Vice Media and Ten Speed Press. This time, the target is the often-sloppy, always-delicious world of late-night cuisine, with the Munchies series Chef’s Night Out serving as inspiration. In that show, viewers learn where chefs go to eat and drink and follow along as they cook up their favorite drunk cuisine.

The Late-Night Meals cookbook will ask more top chefs, including Anthony Bourdain

, David Chang, and Danny Bowien, to offer up their takes on the Chef’s Night Out formula. Sections will include “Drinks,”, “Things with Tortillas,” “Hardcore,” and “Morning After,” with each participating chef contributing one recipe.

“I’m beyond excited to be publishing our first cookbook, which is inspired by moments from the show that launched our website,” said Munchies Editor-in-Chief Helen Hollyman in a press release. “This cookbook makes you feel like the Dream Team got together to throw the greatest culinary evening of your life and even anticipated your morning after cravings.”

Hollyman will serve as the Late-Night Meals co-author, alongside JJ Goode and the Munchies editors. The book is due out in the fall.
