Casey Neistat’s Latest Samsung Video Is A Love Letter To The YouTube Community

Casey Neistat’s latest YouTube video is a love letter to fellow YouTubers — and also part of a larger partnership that the vlogger has forged alongside Korean tech giant Samsung.

Following a Samsung TV commercial exalting digital filmmakers that aired during last month’s Academy Awards, Neistat is now explicitly calling out the achievements of YouTube creators — 39 of them, to be exact — in a brand new inspirational montage. The clip, in addition to Neistat’s Oscars ad, is part of a larger, multi-channel campaign that Samsung has launched to show how its tech has enabled digital creators to become the filmmakers of the future.

“If I were to write an autobiography, a book about my life, one title that would work would be Do What You Can’t,” Neistat narrates, as the work and accomplishments of YouTubers like Devin ‘Supertramp’ Graham, Phil DeFranco, Jesse Wellens, Grace Helbig, and others are highlighted in quick succession. Neistat explains that creators on YouTube have defied the odds by taking their creativity and careers into their own hands. Check out the clip, which gives YouTube’s annual Rewind collage a run for its money

Other creators featured include: Roman Atwood, Liza Koshy, Lilly Singh, Marques Brownlee, Gigi Gorgeous, Rosanna Pansinoh3h3productions, and Furious Pete.

Neistat also shares what life is like for creators who have found success on their own terms. “If you do it right, you get to quit the day job,” he continues, “make friends from places you’ve never been…a life moving so fast and so full you won’t even have time to process it.” Lastly, he urges the YouTube community to “keep creating…and never forget, you don’t have to listen to anyone, because in this new world, no one knows anything.”

This isn’t the first time that Neistat has created a buzzworthy video on his channel alongside Samsung. He also teamed up with the mobile giant for a film over the holidays in which he donned a Santa Claus costume and was towed through the Finnish mountains on a snowboard by a custom drone.
