And when the singer announced today, in rather dramatic fashion, that she’s expecting twins with husband Jay-Z, the Internet roared with glee.
“We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two,” Knowles captioned a photo of herself shrouded in a green veil and kneeling before a giant floral wreath. “We thank you for your well wishes.”

Within 15 minutes of the announcement, Twitter said, there were over 17,000 tweets per minute about the news, and after 45 minutes, a total of 500,000 tweets about Beyoncé had been sent.
