Dan & Phil Share Trailers For YouTube Red Tour Film, Behind-The-Scenes Documentary

Next week, famed YouTube duo Dan Howell and Phil Lester are slated to arrive on YouTube Red in a big way. After their The Amazing Tour Is Not On Fire (TATINOF) live show swept across the globe earlier this year, Howell and Lester are now bringing a filmed version to fans who may not have been able to catch it in person. At the same time, they will also release a behind-the-scenes documentary showcasing how the production came to be and providing a glimpse at life on the road.

Both are set to premiere on Oct. 5.

Today on their respective YouTube channels, 29-year-old Lester (3.8 million subscribers) shared a trailer for the 50-minute behind-the-scenes documentary titled Dan And Phil’s Story Of TATINOF, while 25-year-old Howell (6 million subscribers) shared a teaser for the eponymous live film. As one of the largest tours ever undertaken by YouTubers — travelling from the U.K. to the U.S. before concluding in Australia — the 90-minute film was captured during a sold-out show in Hollywood earlier this summer at the Dolby Theater.

In addition to being real-life best friends, Howell and Lester are BBC Radio personalities and co-hosted the YouTube livestream of this year’s Brit Awards. They also wrote a book together entitled — what else? — The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire, which became a New York Times Bestseller. In November, the guys will release a photobook titled Dan And Phil Go Outside featuring candid photos and stories from the tour.
