Studio71, the digital network subsidiary of German mass media giant ProSiebenSat.1 Group, has tapped advertising veteran Matt Seiler as its new president of marketing solutions. Seiler will report to CEO Reza Izad.
“[Studio71 has] a track record of attracting and helping to grow the careers of some of the entertainment world’s greatest stars,” Seiler said in a statement. “Together I think we can deliver marketing services managed in the same way.” Seiler most recently served as chairman of IPG Media Brands, a global media marketing agency, and, before that, president and CEO of communications agency PHD.
“Matt has a history of seeing trends before most people do,” Izad said in a statement. “We have no doubt that we are sitting at the nexus of where brand communications and content are headed; where a marketer’s message is viewed as a good thing by way of their video content, and welcomed by the viewer.”
Studio71, formerly known as Collective Digital Studio, features a roster of bold-faced creators including Lilly Singh, Rhett And Link, Logan Paul, Shay Mitchell, Matthew Santoro, Flula Borg, Epic Meal Time, and Roman Atwood. Most recently, the company announced it would launch a YouTube channel with semi-retired professional wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on July 18. Studio71 says its 1,200 total channels drive roughly 5 billion monthly views.
