Lifestyle Network And Video Producer Mode Media Lays Off 30 Employees

A lifestyle website known for producing content aimed at female consumers has cut ties with a significant number of employees. Mode Media, which was founded in 2004 as Glam Media and valued as a billion-dollar company in 2013, has laid off 30 workers, according to the Wall Street Journal.

It’s unclear how the layoffs will affect Mode’s production capabilities or its online video activities. The company did not respond to the Wall Street Journal’s request for comment.

The layoffs are the latest in a line of personnel changes at Mode. In April 2016, the company’s co-founder Samir Arora departed his post as CEO. The same month, noted investor Marc Andreessen left his position on the Mode board.
