YouTube star Jordan Dowodzenka (or Jordan Doww, for short) — who posted a Coming Out video late last year that has garnered more than 200,000 views — is slated to perform at one of New York’s most storied comedy venues.
Doww will bring his live show, HollyWEIRD, to Carolines on Broadway next May 21 — followed by a meet-and-greet. Comedian Matt Pavich will open for Doww at the 35-year-old venue, which has played host to some of the world’s most famous comics. Upcoming sets, for instance, will be headlined by D.L. Hughley, Tracy Morgan, and more.
HollyWEIRD, which is described as a behind-the-scenes look at Doww’s life as he attempts to make it in Hollywood, will feature sketch comedy, characters, song and dance, and improv. Tickets are available here.
Doww premiered HollyWEIRD — which was co-produced by his team at Scale Management — at the Hollywood Improv in February during a sold-out performance. Doww has subsequently performed two shows in Michigan, his home state.
In addition to the live performances and his growing library of content on YouTube (where he counts 63,000 subscribers) and Vine (96,000 subscribers), Doww has also appeared on several CW shows, including The Baldwin Cafe and The 101.
