What better way to start your weekend than with an exploding limousine? That’s the stunt on display in a new video from YouTube creators Richard Ryan and Mat Best, who served as a two-man wrecking crew in order to promote the upcoming film London Has Fallen.
The collaboration between Ryan and Best began on Best’s MBest11x channel, where the two creators used a helicopter and some precise timing to “rescue” Best from a bad date. The fireworks truly began the next day, when the collaboration moved over to Ryan’s FullMag channel. There, he and Best used a thermite grenade to detonate a full-sized limo. As the vehicle blew up, they walked away from it slowly, because cool guys don’t look at explosions
.The two videos highlight two of the main selling points of London Has Fallen, which is a sequel to 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen. The first one sells the film on its action, and the second reminds viewers that “stuff blows up” is a big part of the Fallen franchise’s appeal. No matter the strategy behind this campaign, it makes for a strong addition to the Internet’s most explosive video category.
