Reese Witherspoon’s Clothing Line Launches YouTube Channel

Reese Witherspoon maintains an active film career, but at the same time, she is also building a digital presence for herself. The actress appeared in a series of new YouTube videos uploaded by her clothing line, Draper James.

Witherspoon launched Draper James last year in order to marry her love of fashion to her Southern roots. The company’s YouTube channel posted its first video in May 2015, but it then went dormant for the next nine months. Now, it is home to three new videos, all starring Witherspoon. In one, she performed Southern-inflected impressions of famous movie stars; in another, she tells the story of her company; in the third, she travels to a local factory, where many of Draper James’ denim items are manufactured.

Right now, it’s unclear whether Witherspoon will maintain any sort of regular presence on YouTube, or if she will merely show up from time to time to hawk her company’s clothes. Either way, it’s always fun to see notable Hollywood celebrities embracing online distribution, so we’ll keep an eye on the Draper James channel. Plus, Weatherspoon has hung out with YouTube stars Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart in the past, so perhaps she has some bigger digital plans of which we’re not yet aware.
