“I’m very happy that Staten Island Summer has found the perfect home,” said Michaels to The Hollywood Reporter, who originally broke the story. “Netflix has quickly become the biggest supporter of what’s new and exciting in comedy.”

“We are excited to team with Lorne Michaels, Rhys Thomas, and Colin Jost to bring this hilarious coming age comedy to Netflix members around the world,” added Netflix’s CCO Ted Sarandos. “Colin’s script and the appearances of so many SNL cast members make Staten Island Summer the perfect summer comedy for fans.”

Staten Island Summer stars lots of SNL talent including Cecily Strong, Fred Armisen, Will Forte, and Kate McKinnon, who are acting alongside other cast members like Kate Walsh, Vincent Pastore, comedian Jim Gaffigan, and rapper Method Man.
