Netflix Will Host Its Own ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Fan Convention In New York

Netflix is getting into the convention industry. The streaming platform will bring OrangeCon, based on its hit original series Orange Is the New Black, to New York City on June 11, 2015.

Hosted at Skylight Clarkson SQ, OrangeCon is an invitation-only convention arriving just one day before the third season of Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black series premieres. The event will boast autograph signings, a special screening, panels with cast and crew from the Netflix show, and more.

Fans will be able to meet many of their favorite stars who are confirmed to attend, including Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Uzo Aduba, Laverne Cox, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Brooks, Taryn Manning, Samira Wiley, Dascha Polanco, Selenis Leyva, Yael Stone, Michael Harney, Nick Sandow, and Adrienne Moore.

Netflix said fans can receive all updates for OrangeCon by following @OITNB on Twitter, Instagram, or Tumblr. Fans will also have a chance to win tickets to the event by following any of these social media accounts.

Orange Is the New Black has certainly proved a hit among viewers and critics alike, but it isn’t Netflix’s only popular series worthy of an event. With shows like House of Cards, Daredevil, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt also consistently attracting viewers and boasting raving fan bases, we wouldn’t be surprised if Netflix eventually hosted a larger convention for all its well-loved titles.
