This summer, The Rolling Stones are going on tour, and for some promotion help, they have turned to a YouTube channel that likes to emulate old ladies. The Kloons have released a new episode of their web series Sisters, and both Keith Richards and Mick Jagger make voice cameos.
In Sisters, Kloons members Mitch Lewis and Nik Kazoura reenact conversations between Nik’s mom and his aunt. The series, which first arrived on YouTube in June 2014, has spanned six episodes and received millions of views on The Kloons’ YouTube channel. As Lewis explained in an email to Tubefilter, the Stones’ touring company saw Sisters last fall and showed it to Richards and Jagger, who “really liked it” and agreed to participate.
Thus, a collaboration was born. In the latest episode of Sisters, the conversation tends to wander back toward The Rolling Stones, before Richards and Jagger deliver the punchline by dubbing over the conversation of two young women.
The Rolling Stones’ summer tour will begin May 24th in San Diego and will hit 15 stops before concluding on July 15th in Quebec. Tickets are available on the band’s website.
