Just last month, YouTube a cappella sensation Pentatonix won a Grammy for their mash-up of Daft Punk songs. Now the quintet is on tour across America, but as is the case with live events, not all fans can attend in person. Yahoo is rectifying this problem by bringing one of Pentatonix’s upcoming concerts to fans through a live stream on March 15, 2015.
Pentatonix, which consists of members Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstie Maldonado, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola, will be performing at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut. Yahoo’s live stream will be broadcast live from the theater for all U.S. fans to watch online. The Pentatonix stream will be hosted on Yahoo Screen via the Live Nation. channel
The Pentatonix concert is part of Live Nation Entertainment’s partnership with Yahoo to bring a one free live concert to its channel each day of the year. The resulting live stream events introduce viewers to emerging and popular musicians across a range of genres. Phoenix-based Live Nation has also teamed with Vice Media for a live music digital platform, set to arrive sometime in 2015.
You can watch the live stream of Pentatonix’s concert starting at 7 PM EST on March 15 via the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo Screen.
