‘What’s Trending”s Shira Lazar Named West Coast Contributor For HLN TV Show

HLN has just tapped a very familiar, top-level name in the digital world to help round out its televised internet news and lifestyle segment. The entertainment and social media-focused cable channel from Time Warner brought on What’s Trending’s Shira Lazar as a West Coast contributor for The Daily Share.

Hosted by Ali Nejad and Yasmin Vassoughian, The Daily Share covers social media and lifestyle news and airs Monday through Friday on HLN. In Lazar’s new role as The Daily Share contributor, the long time digital media host will be responsible for delivering timely reports on the most-shared, current news pieces being talked about online. Lazar will also interview top digital celebrities exclusively for HLN. The new correspondent will begin reporting within the week.

Lazar previously teamed with HLN to bring a weekly edition of What’s Trending to the linear channel back in April 2014. Fortunately, this new partnership between the two won’t interfere with the What’s Trending co-founder’s duties at her original digital network. Lazar will continue to host some of the programming on What’s Trending and lead the development of new content, like the network’s recent Huge on the Tube web series collaboration with VH1.
