AwesomenessTV Adds Jim Deutch As Head Of Branded Entertainment

AwesomenessTV is growing internally as it looks to expand its brand globally. The YouTube multi-channel network has created the role of Creative Director of Branded Entertainment and hired Jim Deutch to fill the position.

Deutch comes to AwesomenessTV with experience at Hearst (which recently claimed a 25% stake in the MCN that’s primarily owned by DreamWorks Animation). The production executive was Hearst Entertainment’s VP of Programming Partnerships where he was charged with the task of developing TV programs in partnership with brands. It’s likely he’ll be undertaking a similar role at AwesomenessTV.

“AwesomenessTV has had great success working with leading brands to build entertaining programming that engages our core teen audience,” said Brett Bouttier

, President of AwesomenessTV, in the release. “Jim is a very talented producer and a great, creative guy—his addition to our team positions us well to do even more top-notch shows with our brand partners.”

He’s partnered with General Motors, Home Depot, H&M, Macy’s, and other top-level brands on branded projects.

AwesomenessTV currently claims 800 million monthly video views and more than 114 million subscribers across all its creators’ channels.
