Ryan Seacrest Shows Off New Menswear Line In “Talking Cat” Video

One of the most recognizable personalities from TV and radio is back, this time with a video to promote his upcoming menswear line for Macy’s. Ryan Seacrest partnered with YouTube creator ScottDW to create the “Talking Cat has EPIC Morning” video, a montage-laden short featuring Seacrest in various pieces from his Distinction line.

Directed by ScottDW and starring Seacrest, the video doesn’t actually entail what it sounds like. There’s no real cat in the video, just a hand-puppet one, so it seems the title was just an attempt to draw in viewers using the age old “cat video” lure. Ryan Seacrest Productions said in a release it wanted to create a video that was “a bit off beat, which also captured the versatility of the line.”

And that’s actually where the real gem in this video lies: the ridiculous, unrealistic ways the creative team incorporated Seacrest’s suits into his “daily life.” For example, he cleans the pool (while in

the pool), carves an ice sculpture, and plays croquet while riding a lawn mower, while wearing suits from his collection.the entire time The best part is at the very beginning when Seacrest is seen showering while fully decked out in spiffy grey garb, which he consequently blow-dries to perfection.

The “Talking Cat” video will be released on Facebook, SnapChat, and Vine in the near future, and is only part of a larger promotional campaign for Seacrest’s Distinction line which arrives in Macy’s stores next week.

Don’t let the video fool you. Its mood may be discordant with the sophistication of Seacrest’s line, but the suits are sharp, classy, and attractive.
