Paul Rudd, Kate McKinnon Portray Weirdos In Above Average Web Series

Above Average has become the go-to source for online video content from Saturday Night Live writers and performers, and its latest web series is another strange laugher with plenty of fun cameos. SNL writers Paula Pell and James Anderson star in Hudson Valley Ballers, which recently debuted the first two of six total episodes.

The premise is simple: Two TV writers move to the Hudson Valley and open a bed-and-breakfast. While running said establishment, they have run-ins with all sorts of weird locals, but that’s ok, because they’re weird, too. Pell and Anderson each play a number of different characters, but the relationship between the main protagonists are the main highlight. If you’re not amused by a scene where two people pour tea through their noses while talking about how great their friendship is

, Hudson Valley Ballers is probably not for you.

If you’re intrigued, you’ll probably be sold when you hear that Paul Rudd and Kate McKinnon appear in the first episode. The former plays a jorts-wearing drifter and the latter, in her latest appearance on Above Average, plays a local cat lover.

All six episodes will be posted by the end of the week, and SNL fans–as well as lovers of deadpan, ‘random’ humor–are encouraged to check them out.
