We’ll tell you what the series is all about and explain why it is worth your money. Description: Huang is one of the first creators making use of John and Hank Green’s new crowdfunding platform, Subbable. He is a multi-talented musician best known for creating songs across multiple genres and undertaking difficult challenges (often stemming from fan suggestions) that help him create unusual and impressive tunes.

Creator Bio: Huang hails from Toronto and is one of the most noticeable Canadian YouTubers; he was a visible presence at last month’s Buffer Festival and composed the music for Rhett and Link’s latest rap battle

. He also releases albums of original music; his latest effort is titled The Coldest Darkness.

Best Perk: Huang’s channel is titled ‘Songs To Wear Pants To‘, and if you give him $100, he will send you a pair of his pants, thus fulfilling the promise of his channel name.

Why You Should Fund It: Huang previously popped on our radar when we highlighted some interesting genre mashups taking the YouTube world by storm. Out of all the videos featuring in that piece, Huang’s ‘Alphabetical A to Z Song‘ was my absolute favorite.

Many popular YouTube musicians rely on cover songs to showcase their skills, but that’s not Huang’s main M.O. While he has released some covers, he’s interested in songwriting as well as performing, and if that means he has to craft 26 new songs just to fill one three-minute video, then that’s what he’s going to do.

Musicians who possess both chops and inventiveness are a rare breed. Huang has both those qualities in spades, and he has a sense of humor to boot. He deserves to be rewarded for the hard work he’s put forth so far.
