Maker Studios Teams With Ben Stiller For Comedy Web Series

Maker Studios is continuing to make inroads into the Hollywood community. It’s latest traditional media partner is Ben Stiller‘s Red Hour Digital production studio. The two companies will team up for season two of Next Time On Lonny, a comedy web series that first ran for six episodes in 2011.

Next Time On Lonny is a reality show parody created by Dan Scrimpf and starring Alex Anfanger. From that description, it seems that Maker and Stiller are trying to recapture the lightning that struck when the Stiller-produced Burning Love became a huge hit (and, eventually, a big Streamys winner) in 2012. Next Time On Lonny may not have the same big-name cast, but it does have a dedicated YouTube following that contributed more than a half-million view

s to the first season.

“Dan and Alex are the life blood of a new generation of comedy,” said Stiller. “Red Hour’s policy is to feed off of that blood in the time honored vampyric tradition of show-business.”

Via Red Hour Digital, Stiller joins Robert De Niro and Kevin Smith as prominent Hollywood personalities who have partnered with Maker. We’ll see how the result pans out…next time on Next Time On Lonny!
