Smosh’s ‘If It Were Real Saga’ Comes To Pay-To-View On Demand

For the first time, Smosh is available via on demand digital download. YouTube comedy twosome Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla have compiled all of their ‘If _____ Were Real‘ videos into one long-form release, which is now available from a variety of outlets.

‘If It Were Real’ is one of Smosh’s most enduring series. It stars Ian and Anthony as they act out their favorite movies, video games, tv shows, holidays, and superheroes. For the digital download, an extra 16 minutes of bonus content have been added, bringing the total runtime over an hour.

The ‘If It Were Real Saga’ is available on a number of platforms; the easiest place to get it is probably Itunes

, but it’s also on Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Xbox, and Playstation. Prices range from $3.99 for a low-definition rental to $7.99 for a high-definition purchase.

By entering the pay-to-view video on demand market, Smosh is making a concerted effort to monetize more of the content consumed by its 13 million YouTube subscribers. Of course, many of those subscribers have already seen all of the ‘If It Were Real’ videos, but the diehard Smosh fanatics will still pony up to own an hour of the duo’s selected works. Or, at least, that’s the idea.
