Philip Defranco Debuts ForHumanPeoples Channel To Showcase Cool Stuff

The fourth entry in Philip Defranco‘s mini-empire of YouTube channels will feature creative people making creative videos out of the most creative ideas they can think up. It’s called ForHumanPeoples, it’s based on a retail website Defranco launched in 2011, and we can expect it to feature all of his cool YouTube friends.

ForHumanPeoples will have a similar mission to its sister site. It will feature content “approved by Philip Defranco“, but instead of t-shirts and posters, that content will manifest in video form. Collaborations will be the key method through which Defranco and his team will cull these videos. Many talented creators will show up on ForHumanPeoples, though these partnerships won’t be solely between online video personalities. As SourceFed‘s Elliott Morgan explains in the channel trailer, “another huge part of this whole idea of collaboration is you , the audience.” Get your suggestions ready, Defranco Nation.

The concept of the ForHumanPeoples channel seems similar to Soul Pancake, which also tends to bring together bright online video minds (including Morgan) for collaborative productions. That model has succeeded to the tune of 630,000 subscribers, and given the massive size of Defranco’s existing fanbase, you can bet ForHumanPeoples will reach similar heights.

The new channel also jives with the YouTube content put forth by Defranco’s bosses at Discovery Communications. Through verticals like TestTube, Discovery has distributed web series catered to curious YouTube viewers, and we can expect ForHumanPeoples to similarly reward those who are willing to deeply explore its library. Expect plenty of worthwhile watches when the channel launches in earnest on October 14th.
