A record number of consumers are interactively engaging with their favorite TV shows via smartphones, tablets, and personal computers. If you want a testament to the power of second screens, all you need to do is check Twitter next Sunday night, when I can guarantee you’ll find an onslaught of activity regarding the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad.

Of course, if you need more proof than thousands of TV aficionados tweeting about Walter White Jr.’s fondness for breakfast

, you can always come to the ‘Driving Audience Engagement’ panel at Social Media Week Los Angeles. It will be hosted by NATPE and will feature the creators of two major network dramas: Hart Hanson of FOX’s Bones and Aaron Ginsburg of Intelligence, a new series coming this fall to CBS. As with other showrunners, these two men are very much interested in engaging audiences via the second screen and providing bonus content online. At their panel, they will explain exactly how they go about doing that.

The ‘Driving Audience Engagement’ panel will go down on Thursday, September 26th at 11 AM at ROC Santa Monica. If you’re interested, you can sign up right here.
