If you’re looking for your cute animals fix, The Pet Collective has you covered. The fauna-focused channel is one of the best mood enhancers available on the Internet, /r/aww notwithstanding. Now, cute animal aficionados can get all of their adorable content in one place. The Pet Collective has launched a website that combines its own original programs with animal UGC videos from around the web.
The site, run by Freemantle Media, is a one-stop source for all things pet. “Millions and millions of pet lovers around the world have turned to The Pet Collective when they want to laugh and be inspired by their furry and feathered friends, and now we’re able to create one single destination for them to find the best pet videos anywhere,” said channel head Tom Maynard.
The UGC videos are fun, but The Pet Collective’s originals set the site apart. In addition to ongoing live cams of cute animals, the channel also produces several original series. Be sure to check out Petodies, which has introduced the world to Maltey Cyrus and Corgi Rae Jepsen. Most recently, it gave us ‘Furred Lines’, a canine version of ‘Blurred Lines’. Woof .
The Pet Collective website uses the Blip player, as the channel recently signed on with the alternative platform after beginning as a member of YouTube’s Original Channels. Of course, with more than 190,000 YouTube subscribers, The Pet Collective is healthy across multiple platforms. I don’t think it will stop until the entire Internet is under the rule of french bulldogs.
