Norm MacDonald Brings Wry Wit To Video Podcast Network

Norm MacDonald, best known for his time on Saturday Night Live (when, among other pursuits, he introduced the world to Turd Ferguson), has begun to disseminate his podcast on YouTube. The comedian’s Norm MacDonald Live show has joined forces with the Video Podcast Network, which will offer live video for each episode.

The first installment features Bob Einstein as the guest. Though Norm (and the video’s title) introduce him as Super Dave Osborne, he’ll always be Marty Funkhouser and Larry Mittleman to me. No matter how you associate the comic actor (who is also Albert Brooks‘ brother), it’s easy to appreciate his unique, gravelly voice and original jokes.

Norm MacDonald Live joins podcasts like Adam Carolla and Big 3 Live on Video Podcast Network, which also continues to host the Animashups web series. On the latest episode of that cartoon-y adventure, Chris Hardwick explained a ridiculous sketch idea involving Superman’s sexual anatomy. Check that out here and be sure to keep an eye on Video Podcast Network as it expands its library.
