Crackle’s ‘Chosen’ Will Return For A Second Season

More choosing is on the way. Crackle‘s Chosen will return for a second season after an adrenaline-filled first season that saw former Heroes lead Milo Ventimiglia portray Ian, an initially-mundane husband and father whose life takes a dramatic turn when a gun and a picture of someone he must assassinate turn up on his doorstep.

The first season, which played out like a pulse-pounding blend of A History of Violence and Wanted, ended on a mild cliffhanger, as a final reveal hinted that more angry people with guns will soon be chasing after Ian. It’s a sure-footed formula that plays well to the plentiful action-hungry crowd.

The first season will remain available on Crackle’s various outlets until May. Embedding is disabled, but you can check out all six episodes here.

Chosen pulled in only 48% of its streams

from ‘online’ viewers. The series took great advantage of new media outlets, scoring over a million views between mobile and connected TV devices, with Xbox users serving as one of the most engaged consumer bases. “Chosen confirms our belief that there is a strong appetite for compelling, high-quality original series in the digital space,” said Eric Berger, Executive Vice President of Digital Networks for Sony Pictures Television. “Whether it was online, on mobile or through a connected TV device, our audience spent a significant amount of time with the show, following it through to its conclusion. We are excited to announce that we are moving forward with a second season.”

Season 2 will begin filming over the summer. When it hits Crackle, you can expect more running, more shooting, and, of course, more choosing.
