Gregory Brothers Ask ‘Why, Why, Manti?’ In Extremely Catchy New Song

The Gregory Brothers are flying high of late, with a celebratory ode to MLK and an upcoming appearance Jimmy Fallon’s late-night program catching our eye. A new entry on the musical quartet’s Schmoyoho channel continues their hot streak, as it may be their catchiest auto-tune yet.

The subject of the song is Katie Couric’s recent interview with football player Manti Te’o regarding the fake girlfriend hoax perpetrated against the Notre Dame star. Titled ‘Why, Why, Manti?’, the song features a likable hook that, in a pleasant surprise, actually rhymes (unlike many other Gregory Brothers hits). When Te’o’s dad starts rapping, I wanted to laugh, but all I can do is admire his silky smooth flow.

At the end of the video, The Gregory Brothers (currently signed with Maker Studios) remind us that we’re all capable of making catchy tunes with their auto-tune app, which can turn the most awkward situation into a dance party. Make sure you have it primed and ready for Valentine’s Day, people.
