YouTube Beauty Gurus and Brands Answer Questions on VYou

VYou is a destination and platform for the instigation, viewing, and dissemination of online video Q&A sessions. The facilitator, aggregator, and distributor of decidedly lo-fi and unproduced user-generated question-and-answer content rests somewhere in the middle of broadcast platforms (like YouTube, Vimeo, and Blip) and “real-time conversation utilities” (like Skype or Google+ Hangouts). It’s popular with the online video creators, too.

Prominent YouTube personalities use VYou as another way to provide content for, and get more intimate with their growing fan bases. It’s more up close and personalized than a tweet with less dead air than a live video feed, which burgeoning internet superstars like Hannah Hart, Wheezy Waiter and more find as a nice compliment to their regularly scheduled programming.

And for all of the aforementioned attributes, brands like VYou, too.

Jennifer Chae (fromheadtotoe), Elessa Jade (pursebuzz), Leina (makeupbyleinabaaaby), Meghan Rienks (meghanrosette), April (AprilAthena7), and Rachel Cooper (rachhloves) solicited inquiries from the VYou community and their Twitter followers (by way of VYou’s nifty Twitter integration) and gave some sage advice in the form of video. Here’s an example:

And if you prefer your Q and As a little less makeup-y, you can head over to one of VYou’s many other groups or channels (including Carnegie Hall-lovin’ Nerdfighters) or always start answering questions from friends, family, and fans on your own.
