The Situation & Tyler Posey Of ‘Teen Wolf’ Ask Wolf Blitzer Questions

The young voters in America hold massive political power. In 2008, for instance Barack Obama used a two-thirds majority among voters age 18-29 to comprise a large section of his electorate. And this year, MTV launched Power of 12, a website meant to energize young voters and encourage them to exercise their constitutional right. The website features a voting FAQ, registration guidelines, and several articles, one of which manages to tie the Kardashian sisters to the office of the POTUS.

The site has also debuted a web series called Ask Wolf, where noted CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer (seen here doing the dougie) fields relevant questions from young voters facilitated by pop culture personalities.

The first two episodes have posted on Power of 12 and MTV.com, with each query featuring an MTV celebrity asking Blitzer a question posed by a motivated teen with internet access. Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino from Jersey Shore asks Wolf about swing states, while Tyler Posey

, the star of MTV’s Teen Wolf adaptation, asks a wolf-to-Wolf question (get it?!?) about third-party candidates. Each time, Blitzer answers with the stentorian gravitas that has made him such a respected figure over the years.

To submit a question, all a perspective voter has to do is post his or her query @mtvpowerof12 on Twitter with the hashtag #AskWolf. I have no idea how questions are chosen, but if there’s one thing this project is trying to teach, it is the importance of believing in democracy.

As Hank Green so clearly put it in the video we shared earlier, the right to vote is one of our most important responsibilities as citizens of this country. Kudos to Power of 12 and Ask Wolf for getting the vote out any way they can.
