DeStorm, MysteryGuitarMan, and More Big Framers Launch BAMMO

AMMO-youtube-network.jpg" alt="" width="250" height="180" align="left" />What do you get when you combine five YouTube stars (with an aggregate view count just shy of 700 million and a total subscriber base bumping 5 million individuals) under the banner of a single channel that’s part of the $100 million YouTube Originals initiative and run by a media company that provides “marketing and production resources for the biggest YouTube influencers”?

You get a YouTube channel with a name that’s evocative of something you’d see on a Roy Lichtenstein print that features original content across five brand new series from the likes of MysteryGuitarMan, DeStorm, CorridorDigital, Mike Diva, and Tay Zonday.

BAMMO is Big Frame’s entrant into the online original channels fray. The YouTube network and talent aggregator started by Sarah Penna (back when she was Sarah Evershed) and helmed by Steve Raymond officially launched the online video destination that brings you “all your favorite YouTube superstars together on ONE awesome channel” at the beginning of this month. The content is a blend of scripted special effects, user-generated films, talking head advice, and viral video fodder that looks as engaging as it sounds diverse.

Here’s what series are on the programming slate (some of which recently debuted and others of which will debut in the near future):

  • Sync – A science-fiction-action-thriller from the special effects gurus at Corridor Digital “about a special agent/body snatcher who teams up with a teenage hacker to stop the machines and forces of evil from taking over the planet,” complete with an accompanying behind-the-scenes series.
  • Sandobox – MysteryGuitarMan gives online video viewers and MysteryGuitarMan fans a theme. Inclined individuals with production skills create a video inspired by that theme. MysteryGuitarMan then previews his favorites, and sometimes makes his own, too.
  • TurboTime – “Delve deep inside the dub step, robots, aliens, superheroes, and fantastical world of Mike Diva with,’ featuring special guests, music videos, delirious flashbacks from the bridge of Mike Diva’s retro space cruiser.”
  • Upgraded – DeStorm Power channels his favorite feel-good daytime talk show host as he focuses on upgrading (do you see what they did there?) people’s “relationships, fashions, gadgets, health, and minds.”
  • Lockout – The self-proclaimed “first ever YouTube-video-based game show,” in which notable online video personalities “watch, comment and improve upon the viral value of YouTube’s ‘hidden gems.’”

BAMMO promises fresh new content every single day, whether it’s in the form of an official episode from one of its five original web series, outtakes, or behind the scenes footage. Be sure to check it out at YouTube.com/BAMMMO.
