Advertisers Like Your Mom and the Multi-Screen Mix-Up NYC

The internet loves it some moms. Kourtney Kardashian, Heather Armstrong, Soleil Moon Frye, and Daphne Brogdon are just a few of the proud parents with recognizable names creating online video content catering to the progenitors of today’s tots, tweens, and teens, a demo that also represents 20% or so of internet users and the sex that makes 85% of purchasing decisions.

DECA loves it some moms, too. The online video network and distributor is responsible for some of the internet’s best mother-oriented programming featuring some of the internet’s most high-profile moms (like the ones I mentioned above). Momversation, HerChannel, and the recently launched YouTube network KinCommunity all provide family-friendly and informative content ranging from the (kinda) practical to philosophical.

We have lots of questions surrounding this type of content (How does it appeal to advertisers? How does it get made? And, given all the moms online, why isn’t there a ton more of

this type of content online?). And we’ll be asking them all to DECA’s Jeff Eisenberg at our January Multi-Screen Mix-Up New York City.

Join Tubefilter and FourScreenMedia on Tuesday, January 24 at Copia as we bring you the second in a year-long series of networking events at the intersection of video and advertising.

The Multi-Screen Mix-Up is totally free for industry professionals, and gives said professionals (including online content creators, advertising agency executives, traditional media veterans, and more) a chance to mix, mingle, and do business while learning about the latest in the industry from leading names in advertising, technology, and entertainment.

Be sure to RSVP here for January’s Multi-Screen Mix-Up NYC and a very special thanks to our sponsors – AdoTube, Kantar Video, SAG New Media, VideoNuze, PGA New Media Council, and MWW Group – for making the event possible.
