Early adopters of the online episodic video internet may remember TBS’ now defunct but not forgotten web destination for alt humor, Super Deluxe.
And for those that do remember Super Deluxe, you might recall the site was home to an irreverent faux talk show hosted by Brody Stevens, an LA-based comic with a strong nose who takes orders from an all-powerful Shadow Man, who promises the comedian Hollywood fame and fortune in return for completing a few simple tasks.
Comedy Death Ray’s Brody Steven’s Interview Challenge is like Rosemary’s Baby except with celebrity interviews instead of a wife with antichrist. If that simile makes sense to you, or you recollect any of the above, you’ll be happy to hear Stevens may appear in another series on a different medium.
If you’re familiar with Stevens’ stand-up or ever watched his work on Interview Challenge, you’re already excited for the series. If not, you will be after you catch an episode or two of his program from Super Deluxe. Unlike other Super Deluxe series (which are either tucked away in TBS vaults or lost for the ages) you can still catch Interview Challenge on YouTube. It’s worth a watch.
