This month featured seasoned podcasters Tosca Musk and Jeff MacPherson of veteran series Tiki Bar TV who talked about distribution, merchandising, having fun, and receiving alarming phone calls from Steve Job’s office. There was plenty of mingling (and for some too much mingling—at times a bit hard to hear).
We announced the Tubefilter Spotlight, a special advertising section for web television shows with only four spots per month, teased out a little bit about the top-secret Tubefilter Screening Room (inquire here), and of course The Streamy Awards, whose nomination period
ends just before midnight January 23.Make sure to check the January Meetup Eventbrite page to see who made it out and stay posted for news on the next meetup which is just around the corner on February 4, 2009 at ManiaTV Studios. RSVP right now to get your free early-bird ticket while they still last. And submit your web show to be screened at the Meetup!
We need your feedback on the Meetup. Email us at meetup@tubefilter.tv and please give us your feedback or sound off in the comments below. We’ve heard requests for more—and less—time to network, presentations from creators, and presentations from technical and equipment reps.
And while you are at it, here is some more homework for you:
