Following in the footsteps of his impending late-night successor, you can now catch Jay Leno and his Tonight Show in their entireties on NBC.com. Full episodes, conveniently broken down by opening monologue, guests, interview segments, and musical or comic acts will appear on the website the day after they air on television. ###
This is the same online format, timetable, and overall experience as Late Night with Conan O’Brien, which began streaming full episodes in August. It’s also the second series featuring Leno available on the web through NBC. Jay’s Leno’s Garage (Tilzy.TV page) has been showing off the funnyman’s serious car collection since October 2006.
Check out the segment from Monday with James Spader to get a feel for the Tonight Show’s well-executed online component. Best line of the show is from Leno when discussing Spader’s inability to wear contacts while filming Boston Public: “See these are soft lenses, but when I get excited they get hard.”
