As its impending lawsuit against YouTube barrels on, Viacom’s The Daily Show struck a deal to show segments of its show on Yahoo. This marks a departure from the media conglomerate’s previous strategy of confining content to its own websites.

So now I can catch missed episodes on Yahoo and share clips in my blog? Not really. The clips are too few and too short, they’re surprisingly difficult to find on Yahoo, and they don’t allow embed.
We’ll have to wait for something that gives us the freedom and flexibility of illegal uploads to YouTube. Too bad YouTube has that new copyright protection technology…
