DotComedy Starts Vlogging

Last week, Sean Redlitz, managing director of NBC Universal’s online comedy site DotComedy, said to Mediaweek, “The web has been a great democratizing force in the media landscape. And we figured it was high time somebody put a stop it.”

Phase One of their strategy to overthrow the glorious potential of the internet includes a lineup of paid vloggers for DotComedy. So far the network has been underwriting original shows and airing stock clips from old shows and upcoming movies, but now a few vloggers have been handpicked and given a great opportunity to gain a wider audience for their vlogging.

“Our plan is to identify the truly talented from amongst the web rabble and bring them into the gilded halls of NBC Universal,” Redlitz awesomely went on to say.

Not all of the new vloggers have vlogging pedigrees. Beth and Val from Ask Anything With Beth and Val, a really random vlog about celebrities, poop, and testicular shaving that I can’t explain why I like so much, are new to the game. But Paul Goebel of Remote Controller and Sean Crespo of Sean Crespo Will Teach U Vlogging both have a history in at least blogging, if not vlogging.

Sean Crespo Will Teach U Vlogging is without a doubt my early favorite. Check them all out on DotComedy.
