Lorenzo Boni on Spatulatta

Today’s episode of Spatulatta, the award-winning cooking show designed for kids and hosted by kids, has a distinguished guest in their studio (which, by the by, is the sibling hostesses’ family’s kitchen). Head Chef Lorenzo Boni of Barilla visited the girls and showed them how to make an adult-oriented but kid-friendly Mother’s Day meal.

Lorenzo shows the girls how to make tortellini, an easy salad with prosciutto, and a macerated strawberry desert. And then the famous chef helps them set the table and “make coupons for Mom,” which is as hilarious as it is charming.

He also came onto the show to help announce Spatulatta’s new contest that’s

sponsored by Barilla. The “Why My Mom’s the Best” essay contest asks the show’s young viewers, 15 and under, to send in a 50-word blurb about why they think their mother reigns supreme over all mothers. The winning kid gets a “Barilla Abbondanza Basket” which contains every Barilla product you can imagine.
