Last week, I suggested that T-Series could reach another major milestone by getting more than a billion YouTube views in a single week. Instead, the Indian record label saw its viewership go down by about 7%, though its 901.8 million weekly views are still more than enough to claim the #1 spot in the Global Top 50.

T-Series did pick up a different milestone. It became the first YouTube channel to ever get more than 275 billion lifetime views. No other Top 50 entrants are particularly close to that mark. Even MrBeast only counts about 65 billion lifetime views.
Don’t judge a clown by its makeup
The internet has ushered in several rapid changes related to the public perception of clowns. The once-amusing entertainers have become firmly entrenched as horror movie staples, but they’ve also connected to a new generation of children, who are willing to laugh at their face makeup and smiles.
Back in May, we noted that El Payaso Plim Plim was one of the clowns who is bringing the profession into the digital age. The animated Argentine character just got some well-earned credit in his home country. He earned a nomination at Los Premios Martín Fierro de Cable, a prestigious award show celebrating Argentine pop culture.
All the while, El Payaso Plim Plim is continuing to bring his painted face to more and more viewers. By getting 252.6 million weekly views during the last full week of November, Plim Plim cracked the 250 million view mark for the second time ever.
The Good Guy Clown offers a completely different take on the YouTube Shorts clown. He may look like the Joker (and he might have been boosted by the recent feature film starring that character) but his only mission is to help out kids who get picked on while ensuring that bullies get their comeuppance.
At this point, I’m not sure whether the average kid loves clowns or is afraid of them. I suppose that a nice layer of makeup is a timeless costume, and it’s now popping up on Shorts with greater frequency.
